• Always buy with more zone capability in case you want to upgrade. Rule of thumb, count how many windows and doors you want to install. If the alarm system can cater all the zone independently, then you will need to group up. This is crucial if you later want to check back where is your weak point in your home.
• Buy with LCD Display in order for you to check which point of break-in
• Buy with Time and date in order for you to check the time and date of break in for your police report.
• Buy with voice module in order to listen to which zone triggered. This is crucial when a break in is triggered, you will need to know which point of break-in in order to inform the police or security.

Never use the cell phone when ....

I send this message to make you aware of the danger potential of the commonly used cellular phone. A few days ago, a person was recharging his cellphone at home. Just at that time a call came and he attended to that call with the instrument still connected to the mains. After a few seconds electricity flowed into the cellphone unrestrained and

the young man was thrown to the ground with a heavy thud. His parents rushed to the room only to find him unconscious, with weak heartbeats and burnt fingers. He was rushed to the nearby hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Cellphone is a very useful modern invention. However, we must be aware that it can also be an instrument of death. Never use the cellphone while it is hooked to the mains! This is my humble plea.

I think this is the cause of using of non-sirim approved/low quality battery.

Alert Driving

A driver must concentrate on the road and drive defensively.

• CONCENTRATION: Operating a vehicle safely demands that the driver concentrate on driving. The person should be rested, calm and not under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. One of the greatest hazards of roadway driving is drowsiness or "highway hypnosis". Lack of sleep or fatigue affects your ability to safely drive your vehicle. When taking a long trip, avoid drowsiness by stopping frequently to drink coffee, exercise or nap. Exercise your eyes by reading road signs or shifting the focus of your eyes to different parts of the roadway. Make sure you are properly rested.
• DEFENSIVE DRIVING: Plan ahead for the unexpected. Always be prepared to react to the other driver. Do not expect the other driver to do what you think he or she should do. Do not think you know what he or she is going to do. If you cannot avoid a crash, remain calm and try to choose the least dangerous situation. For example, running into a ditch is less dangerous than a head-on collision. Also, your chances of survival are greater if your vehicle is in good mechanical condition.

My girlfriend was "swindled" of her paid petrol at the Taman Puchong Prima Station.

The modus operandi:

2 Guys at the station, 1 waiting near the payment counter, 1 holding two empty tanks waiting nearby the pumpstation.
While my girlfriend moved towards the payment counter, the guy near the payment counter unintentionally cut her queue and made a minimum payment
at the counter (eg; Rm5). After paying, knowing which pump station my girlfriend came from, he quickly signalled his friend with the empty tanks to go to the pump station. When my girlfriend paid, the cashier activated the pump for the paid amount. Before she could walk back to her car, the guy has already started filling up the petrol at my gf's pump station.

When she asked what he was doing, he simply showed her the receipt saying that he has paid. Not knowing what was going on, she just waited for him to finish. The meter showed the exact amount that she has paid. She realised something was amissed. When she lift the pump for her turn, no petrol came out. The guy has swindled her paid petrol. Eventually she found out that the guy paid RM5 for another pump, and used her's which she paid RM50 instead.

She complained to the petrol attendant but that guy just turned a deaf ear, saying it was not his fault and asked my gf to chase after that 2 guys! What the heck?? Is that how you trained your staff to be helpful to your customers?!! It's giving a bad image to your station. He kept on
saying that he would lose if he gave her back what she paid. Then who's paying back what she lost?? After 30mins of argument and with the help of other customers and asking to see the CCTV, the attendant finally gave in.

I've already complained to the Petronas via their website, not sure whether they are going to do anything about it until something really bad happen!

Luckily she her car was locked and not robbed of her valuables by the guy waiting at the pump. REMEMBER to always lock your car eventhough you are away for a second.

Car Robbery Tactic!

I left the office EB1 tower, Cyberjaya at around 5:30pm. After driving for a short distance, before the Lim Kok Wing corner, I heard some kind of sound from the car. Initially, I thought the sound was from another vehicle driving along side with me but when I switched off my loud music, I could hear it louder and it was actually coming from my car. As I hated to stop to inspect, thanks to all the scary stories that I heard about the consequences of stopping to check the car out and ended up being robbed, so I continued driving, praying hard that the car could go on the distance back to my place in Petaling Jaya.

After driving past the smarttag booth (toll towards Puchong) the noise was getting real loud and with some wobbling movements. By then, I decided that I really had to stop as I suspected that I had gotten a flat tyre. I turned into some shops area and got down. In a split second I looked down to see the 4 tyres but none of the tyres were flat and I quickly continued on with the journey, feeling more puzzled. I continued to drive slowly for the next 10 km and just when I went up the fly-over towards the Sunway toll (after IOI Mall), my car was out of control, wobbling badly. I had to control the steering wheel and braked real hard and finally brought the car to a stop. Thank God, I managed to bring the car to the left lane but almost being knocked from behind due to the sudden halt. I put on my hazard light and tried to start moving again... but the car gave such a loud grinding sound that I decided not to.

I immediately called my mechanic to arrange for a tow truck. I locked all doors and remained seated and just prayed hard. Within minutes, the LDP tow truck and the LDP peronda guy on the bike came to me and asked me what had caused my car to stop. They had to tow my car to a safer place (petrol station next to Sunway toll) while waiting for my own tow truck to arrive.

When we were at the petrol station, the guys and my tow truck driver asked me how I could drive the car with no nuts fastened to the left back tyre. We found that all 6 nuts on the tyre rim had gone missing and my tyre was falling off. Finally, the car was towed to the mechanic shop and the mechanic told me that for sure the nuts on the tyre rim were loosened on purpose as it was impossible to have loose nuts on the tyres. He told me that it was a very common tactic now used by the bad guys. They will loosen some of the nuts and then pounce on the victim to rob them, as soon as the driver stops to check out the car.

I made a police report and apparently, there were 2 reported cases about tyres problem... whereby one car had 4 tyres missing and the other car with 2 tyres missing.. The police said probably these people were after my tyres but did not manage to remove any or using this cruel way to rob the driver.

Although I was badly shaken and shocked... I really thanked God that I was safe and just had to repair the crooked tyre disc and replaced the missing nuts. It was really a miracle to be able to drive the car for the next 10km without a flying tyre, which may have caused a nasty accident along the way. Glory indeed to GOD for his protection!

In view of the increasing crime rate, here's a good tip that I got
from a friend..originated from a neighborhood watch coordinator.

"When someone is trying to get into your house, or if you hear a
noise outside your house, " keep your car keys next to your bed on
the night stand and just press the panic alarm on your car. It will
go off from almost anywhere from inside your house and it will keep
honking until your battery runs down, or until you reset it with
the button on the key chain."

A lot of burglars will cut your telephone line before breaking in
so this is a real good idea.
